Join Us!: Scholarships

The School of Theatre offers scholarships that typically pay for 10% to 40% of average in-state full-time tuition. New students apply through the auditions and interviews process and continuing students re-apply each semester with a brief essay.

However, a Theatre scholarship is only one of many sources of financial aid at SFA. New students that are academically qualified automatically receive a scholarship from the Office of Admissions. There are many other scholarships available (most of these can be found here). Apply early, as the application deadline for many scholarships is February 1. Our financial aid office helps with loans and grants. Whether or not you qualify for College Work Study, employment is available in the School of Theatre and many other places on campus, and some of our students have found jobs off campus in the friendly city of Nacogdoches. We encourage you to take the initiative to find every form of aid that's available to you.
